(More customer reviews)I received this as a gift.I was surprised how well it worked.The shots are consistent and flavorful.I travel extensively for my job. Now I have a coffee shop that travels with me and it is never closed.I do like the ESE pods from Starbucks.Not all of the Starbucks carry them.You can order them online and they are delivered right to your house.I also carry the Handpresso on my recumbent bike.It is light and I just fill my thermos with hot water before I leave.Who would have envisioned a coffee that you can carry on your bike?

The Espressione has impressive power stats. I love European style coffee, and this machine delivers it. Suggestion: I bought it in white and it's hard to keep clean.
Wish I'd bought the graphite.

I was a bit skeptical that I could get a decent shot of espresso from a portable machine. And while it doesn't develop as much crema as my home machine (and I wouldn't expect it to considering that machine is over $1,500) - this thing is a GREAT way for me to get my espresso fix at work.

Value
The build quality of the Handpresso is top notch, commensurate with its price (i.e. you get what you pay for). It should last quite a while. I was pleased to find that it comes with an extra O-ring gasket.

It's already paid for itself in savings - I don't buy espresso at Starbuck's anymore. It also IMHO brews a way more drinkable shot than Starbucks ever did - they really need to clean their machines and train their alleged "baristas".

Tips
For hot water, I use my office kitchen's hot water dispenser - and you really need very hot water to get a good shot, so take some care not to scald yourself. The only downside is I'm getting a lot of requests from co-workers to brew them a shot.

The Mypressi is very well made and feels solid. It's evident that care was taken during design- all pieces fit together nicely and seams line up providing a nice presentation. The instructions provided are clear and simple.

From the time it took to unpack the Mypressi to my first double espresso being pulled was about 2 minutes including the 25 second pull time. Disassembly was equally quick and easy. The clean up was minimal and the Mypressi could easily be used during a hectic morning or on the go.

Three baskets were provided, I learned that the "pressurized basket" works best with espresso ground using the machine at the grocery store. The grounds didn't quite get fine enough to use the "standard basket."Luckily the instructions have a well laid out FAQ for situations like this. The water bowl has a very good marking inside of it so there's no guess work involved when adding water for a single or double shot.

The espresso produced was very impressive. To put it simply, my local coffee shop just lost a customer.

Every aspect of this product makes sense and its really clear that the inventors thought it through. Overall, the Mypressi far exceeded my expectations. It's well made, simple to use, and makes really good espresso!
