(More customer reviews)It's been about a little over a month since I purchased a sizable quantity of these glass for home everyday use (assorted sizes, 24 count total), and two glasses have spontaneously cracked on us.Other than using them for everyday-use, we have been very careful with them - they've been washed with a soft sponge, we have a designated space in the cabinet to store them (not stacked), etc.These glasses are just not cut out for everyday use.We have been using the glasses to drink warm (hot chocolate) and cold drinks (iced beverage).Both broken glasses spontaneously cracked at the bottom while it was sitting on the desk holding a drink.At first, I thought someone had accidentally slammed it, but I actually witnessed the spontaneous cracking when the second glass broke.

I am very disappointed with the functionality of the product.I'm a sucker for good designs, but I expect a reasonable level of durability.These glasses have been incredibly sub standard - my cheap ikea glasses I bought for $5/dozen have fared better. Maybe these glasses are meant to be put away in some display case, only to be used for special occasions... but what's the point of buying glasses if you are not going to use them?

(More customer reviews)Have had this espresso machine for several months now.Researched a lot before buying and believe this is a great machine for the money.Performs well.Makes a great shot of coffee, assuming you are using great espresso beans.Looks good on the counter, altho not a sexy as the more expensive machines.Not too noisy.Only major negative:Not a lot of clearance between the machine and the drip tray - can't use anything taller than a cappuccino cup.Also, machine does drip a bit after you stop brewing.
Consider getting a good burr grinder to go with it.I highly recommend the Capresso Infinity.
Takes a 53mm tamper size.

(More customer reviews)I actually bought this for my wife for her birthday - but I think I enjoy it more then she does.

I know that this doesn't make "true" espresso but it comes mighty close in my opinion (i'm not much of a connoisseur, but I do love a good cup). In fact this is better then most any other espressos i've had! I love the coffee this thing produces! The first night I ended up drinking 6 shots of 'espresso' made with fresh Baba Budan beans and I still wanted more! I couldn't do it though because it was 1:00 in the morning and I was wide awake from drinking so much coffee.

Here are a few tips for you...

Make sure you have a Burr grinder. You want a fine grind (but not too fine) to get the most out of your coffee. Burr grinders can be quite the investment but well worth it. You will need a Burr grinder for any espresso machine anyways.

Make sure you have cups close by. This thing will suddenly shoot out coffee and if you're not quick enough you might get some coffee on your stove... as soon as you hear the gurgle and whistle get your cup ready! (you'll know what i'm talkin about...), After a few rounds you'll have it down.

Chances are your first pot will not turn out perfect (unless you've done something like this before...which I haven't). The good news is that after your first time you will understand how the process works and everything will be fine after that!

Clean this as soon as you can! It will be hot for awhile but try to clean it ASAP to make cleaning easier. It's worth it... trust me.

Follow the instructions EXACTLY. It's not hard to do by any means but make sure you read the instructions. if you accidently do something wrong such as pack in the coffee tightly then you will be sorry. The instructions are very simple but very useful.

I noticed one reviewer mentioned that this coffee comes out tasting burnt. If you grind your coffee too fine then it gets caked inside the coffee holder and it takes longer for the coffee to make it up inside the main chamber (excuse my lack of correct terminology). This does cause a burnt flavor because only a little bit of coffee comes out at a time which causes that little bit to become a bit burnt before the next splash comes through. If you grind it slightly more coarse then this will not happen and your coffee will taste amazing. I have a feeling that the people that mention the burnt flavor are grinding their coffee a bit too fine. You want the coffee to be ground fine but not like flour... more like fine sugar.

The Mypressi is very well made and feels solid. It's evident that care was taken during design- all pieces fit together nicely and seams line up providing a nice presentation. The instructions provided are clear and simple.

From the time it took to unpack the Mypressi to my first double espresso being pulled was about 2 minutes including the 25 second pull time. Disassembly was equally quick and easy. The clean up was minimal and the Mypressi could easily be used during a hectic morning or on the go.

Three baskets were provided, I learned that the "pressurized basket" works best with espresso ground using the machine at the grocery store. The grounds didn't quite get fine enough to use the "standard basket."Luckily the instructions have a well laid out FAQ for situations like this. The water bowl has a very good marking inside of it so there's no guess work involved when adding water for a single or double shot.

The espresso produced was very impressive. To put it simply, my local coffee shop just lost a customer.

Every aspect of this product makes sense and its really clear that the inventors thought it through. Overall, the Mypressi far exceeded my expectations. It's well made, simple to use, and makes really good espresso!

(More customer reviews)Basically all of the negative reviews they did not read the instructions well enough. This thing kicks ass for a 15 bar espresso/cappuccino machine for under (...). Perfect crema, nice steam, cleans easily. Sexy stainless. Of course it doesn't have auto on-off... IT IS AN ESPRESSO MACHINE! The timing is different every time as the water pumps through, and how will it know if you are making a short, a double or if you want to turn it off early? If you are too lazy to push a single button to start and stop the pump, get a "Mr. Coffee" and quit whining that your appliance doesn't tie your shoes for you... The steam nozzle only leaks if you don't close it. If you don't put the lever back to the closed position all the way, yes, then water sprays out. When it is not in steam mode and the valve is open it sprays water, thats what it is supposed to do (for tea, etc.). It is not that complicated a machine, but common sense is uncommon to most people. It heats up fast, makes a delicious cup of cappuccino or espresso and cleans up easily. The warming rack on the top is designed well also. It makes me happy to turn this thing on in the morning. It prefers finely ground espresso, not espresso ground for drip machines or stovetops. If you are a "pod" person, you should be ashamed and really don't need this machine. This machine is for brewing a real cup with fresh grounds.

If you can work simple machinery and like espresso/cappuccino from freshly ground beans, get this machine and enjoy.

If you are a bit lazy and prefer everything to be automatic and are the type to use "pods", do not get this machine.
