(More customer reviews)If you own a Cuisinart DGB-600BC Grind and Brew, Brushed Chrome or the Cuisinart DGB-550BK Grind-and-Brew 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, you will quickly realize the secret to the great coffee brewed is the water filter.Unfortunately, the local big box stores just don't carry these necessary filters.Searching on-line, the best combination deal was found with these filters, i.e. quantity = 12 (two-years of usage if you change every two months) and price (this is the best price for the quantity/shipping that I found).Unlike other vendors, this one delivered as scheduled.

(More customer reviews)As of 27 October 2002, this filter fits Braun Coffee makers models KF580, KF550, KF510, KF190, KF187, KF180, KF157, KF155, KF150, KF145, KF140, KF130.
If you go to the Braun Web site and want to search for your model coffee maker, be aware that Braun thinks these are two word model numbers.Their search engine wants you to enter KF + 157 for the KF157 model.
The filters work.We like them more for the hard water problem than the chlorine issue.The filter does both well.Just pricey.

(More customer reviews)This filter works very well if you like strong coffee. A thin film of oil from the beans will end up in your coffee, and it lets through more richness than a paper filter. It also lasts a long time, and you won't have to purchase paper filters, which probably helps the environment over the long-run. Ours seem to last quite a while (a year or more?) and you can also put it in the dishwasher, which is a good idea to remove some of the residue. (Oily residue build-up in both the filter and coffee maker will cause your coffee to be bitter.) All in all, we are very happy with these filters and will continue purchasing them again and again.

Called the Cuisinart number 18007260190, and after a bit of waiting talked to a rep who is sending my replacement Cuisinart DCC-1200FB Filter Basket for free. BTW: that Cuisinart website list these for $5.
