(More customer reviews)This pot will make 3 cups of 8 oz. Most people are drinking more than that, hence 1 1/2 cups for most.I like the flavor of strong coffee with lots of cream; hence this gets me 2 cups.

The thermos will keep the coffee warm for the first hour, but after that, it just cools down. However, it doesn't have the problem of glass french presses which start loosing heat immediately.Visually it's quite a nice looking french press.
